Gathering in large groups in busy public spaces carries heightened health risks. We ask all event participants to practice health and safety measures to ensure community well-being.
Wearing a mask of KN95 quality or better at all times within the conference venue is strongly recommended. Masks will be available at the registration desk, but we recommend you bring your own. Although masks are not mandatory at this time, they are encouraged, particularly in areas where people are in close proximity.
We ask participants to stay vigilant and prioritize reducing the risk of spreading respiratory and other airborne illnesses, including COVID-19. Through our collective efforts, we can create a safer conference environment for all, especially those who are more vulnerable.
Vaccines
Vaccination continues to be the most effective means of safeguarding yourself and your community. We encourage all in our community to follow public health guidelines and stay current with vaccinations against COVID-19.
Daily Health Assessment
Conduct a daily health assessment before you arrive at the event. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and follow public health guidelines, including those for COVID-19.
COVID-19 Rapid Tests
Free rapid COVID-19 tests will be available at the registration desk.
Isolation Expectations
Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 or develops symptoms on-site should leave the event and follow public health guidelines. If you develop symptoms before the event and need to cancel, please email us at events@bccampus.ca.
Our aim is to be transparent and proactive about our event health plan. We are monitoring the news as we head into the fall respiratory season. If there are changes to our understanding about risk and/or government health policies, we will make further adjustments to our health plan.
